The Forsaken Offensive
(Damnation's Call Campaing)

The Forsaken Offensive [Lordaeron, Patch 5.4] Lordae10

War Cometh
Night began to loom over the forest of Silverpine. The already light-deprived vegetation shivered as the dead air of the Glades began to lackadaisically waltz its way through the rotten land. The Keep looked upon itself in the nebulous gloom of Lordamere Lake, its murky reflection not being merciful its once fine façade tired and decayed. Yet from the dystopia of the keep flew a blackened flag. A flag tapered with the crown of the “Graven Throne”. The Keep was in residence.

“Click” –echoed a cacophony of footsteps.

With a gust of wind, the flag splayed its figure to the world. The flag of the sister of vengeance, the Hand of Damnation imposingly raised upon the pole. Signalling one atrabilious and ambitious motive.

War comes.

The great doors of the auditorium burst open. The Arch-Apothecary began to slowly pace his way down the isle of the hall purposefully, his darkened robes sweeping the rotten floorboards.

“Click, thud thud, swish” – more footsteps were added to the light timpani.

He snapped his calculating gaze to the two figures flanking him, a second robed figure clad in shadows and bowman. Upon the face of the Arch-Apothecary rested a contorted grin, held by an extensive system of putrid stitching and taught strings.

“Enlighten me, Executor, with minimal foofaraw. Are our forces ready to be deployed, Hrrmph?”  Questioned the Arch-Apothecary, his voice ringing with an imposing aplomb.

“Yes Arch-Apothecary, Sir.”

Click click, thud thud, swish – Creeeeeeeak.

The Arch-Apothecary stopped, clasping his gnarled hands, his gaze speeding to a moth-eaten tapestry of a map of Lordaeron and its surrounding lands, hanging limply on the dilapidated wall.

“Indoneous, is this second in eternity for our –libertine- plan to take action.  Malacophonous, we have stayed with the entire atrabilious Orcish hullabaloo.”  The Arch-Apothecary moved to the tapestry.

“Click click – Creeeeeeak – SNAP” – The Rotten floorboards grumbled.

Too many of the Horde’s outposts had fallen due to the foolery of others – perhaps lost for ever. Despite the woeful situation, it was certitude in the mind of Arch-Apothecary Haluthious Vouten that an attempt should be made at reclaiming them.

“Muster the riders. Ride to our ‘allies.’ The laceration of the foes and the returning of our birth-rights are upon us. May all those milquetoast flee in our wake.”

“What shall they be told, Arch-Apothecary?” The second robed figure cooed in a velvety voice, his voice cracking and echoing in the waves of shadow undulating about his figure.

The Arch-Apothecary turned sharply on his heel. His hued gaze glaring with ambition as they shifted to the shadowy figure.

“Tell them – Damnation Calls.”

The Battle of Tol Barad

The Forsaken Offensive [Lordaeron, Patch 5.4] Worldm11

Several hours before the sunset of the 8th of December, year 30 (sdp;since dark portal), The Baradin Wardens have sound an emergency Call to Arms and open portals to various cities. The message is short, desperate and very clear.

"THE HORDE IS ATTACKING!"

Later the same night, closer to the midnight, a letter is sent to Alliance military organisations and militia orders that have been at the aid of the Alliance in the past.

Tol Barad Battle Conclusion: Wellson Shipyard has been bombed/burned by the Forsaken. The Horde also hold strong in Darkwood area, and have claimed Baradin Hold. Alliance forces still hold a strong foothold by the Eastern Peninsula, Rustberg Village and it docks and the Alliance Camp, but the Keep is lost for the Horde

Khaz Modan: Moving to Dun Modr

The Forsaken Offensive [Lordaeron, Patch 5.4] Eventti

Date: 10/12/30 sdp

The Briefing:

We were ordered to leave for the dwarven town of Dun Modr to do battle against the Horde, who appear to have even less regard for peace than I anticipated. That said, the mission was simple enough; I did not expect any real threats to us. We assembled outside Ironforge and departed.

Soldiers Present

Lieutenant Harika Mariska
Sergeant Shiiri
Corporal Lavian Dawson
Lance-Corporal Salara
Private Albert Crownwell
Private Yavari
Recruit Howl Duskmane*
Recruit Keag Strongbrew
Recruit Svanhilda Strongbrew
Operative Killian Roque (SI:7)

*Technically not recruit yet during the mission, but joined the company immediately afterwards. Had sought the officers out before the mission, but the official procedure had to wait until our arrival due to time constraints.

The Mission:

As we left Ironforge, I ordered Salara to keep watch on our left flank, Alberts on our behind and Yavari on our right. They seemed to keep to their duties, and the new lieutenant was giving air support from a gryphon flying over us.
The mission went without issue until we reached the wetlands, wherein a dwarf female stopped to warn us that lately there had been great dragonmaw orc and wildlife activity and lots of ambushes.had occurred. I reminded our soldiers to stay vigilant, though I expected they already would be. We proceeded across the wetlands. Past the elven camp, we heard cries for help and the sounds of battle. Salara volunteered to investigate, and I sent her out to see what was happening and if we were needed. She was equipped with a flare gun should we be required. Meanwhile, were indeed ambushed by dragonmaw orcs. The ambush started with a cart full of explosives coming down the road at us. Fortunately, no major personnel damage was inflicted by the explosion, but most of us were knocked down, and the orcs, four of them I believe, immediately followed by attacking us. I yelled at the elven camp within visible distance for assistance, but puzzlingly there was no response at all; they should have able to hear us and see the battle easily enough. A force of dwarves also came from Dun Modr, though they took no part in the battle at all; they came while it was in progress and left. The company proved too much for them to handle, and they were all slain. We lost two horses and suffered wounds of little consequence. Salara returned during the battle, not having sent out a flare The sounds, too, had quieted. At that point, wary of ambushes, I decided to lead us on to Dun Modr.

At Dun Modr, I reported to the dwarves present, who apparently had arrived hours before us. They told me they had sent out patrols so I chose not to, though they had not set lookouts, so I ordered Salara back to the swamps to keep an eye out for Horde approach, and the strongbrew recruits to the Span, both equipped with flares, though I permitted them a bit of rest first. Salara chose to leave straight away. A messenger was sent to Menethil to inform them of our arrival.

Mission Conclusion:
Apart from two lost horses, we all made it to Dun Modr fine. All is well, and the company is ready to proceed to combat.

Date: 10/12/30 sdp

The local dwarves have told us to behave and not to break anything, and that their ale is off limits to us. Lookouts have been sent to keep watch on the Arathi side of the Thandol Span and the wetlands to the south.
Camp Additions:
-[11.12.30] The first building to the right from entrance is made the Infirmary by the Holy Brigade.
-[11.12.30] Wild Tempest doesn't have any central building where having been set "headquarters", instead sleep in tents or at the floor of the Inn during night.
-[11.12.30] There are no Arcane Wards to block scrying, or other magic on place "yet".

Dun Modr: Recap of the Tempest contribution to the campaign

The Forsaken Offensive [Lordaeron, Patch 5.4] WorldMap-Arathi

Date: 16/12/30 sdp

The 157th unit Wild Tempest is currently still aiding in the war efforts, stationed in the Dun Modr settlement. since we arrived, many events have had  influenced our contributions in the campaign:

-The tempest have contributed to the guarding of the gates, our commander also leading the campaign itself.

-We retaliated against horde scouts and invaders threatening and attacking the alliance at the gates.

-The 157th unit also had made it's part during the Hammerfall offensive, contributing in the efforts to claim it. Despite the outcome, serious blows were made against the horde.

-The company were also present at the Stormgarde assault, successfully helping mmebers of other alliance units in their retreat. Groups were made for seek and destroy the horde scouts.

On the minus side, the Tempest had to deal, or it's currently dealing, with problems yet to be helped with:

-Corporal Dawson still lies comatose in the date this report is written. reasons and whereabouts of the accidents to be asked to the medical personnel.

-Old enemies of the company have sneaked into the camp, openly threatening our soldiers. No help was provided and the Tempest is currently left by itself regarding such danger, on the lookout for possible assassination attempts.

-The soldiers are still exhausted from the Outland expedition, other outright left in Shatthrath to recover from the injuries.

Even in our state, we're doing what we can to contribute in a swift and decisive victory for the alliance, and may the light watch over us in these times of war and grief. Other officers may provide their own recap for a more complete view of the last two weeks.

Corporal Nihilia
Front-Liner

Khaz Modan: Travel to Aerie Peak

The Forsaken Offensive [Lordaeron, Patch 5.4] Highlandstravel

Date: 17/12/30 sdp

The Briefing:

Today, the Alliance army was to move to Aerie Peak in the so called Hinterlands to combat the Horde from there. We were to travel to the hinterlands by ship from the alliance port of Highbank from the twilight highlands due to the Horde's dominance of Arathi. Completely uninformed of the Alliance travel plans, routes and schedules, or even the fact that our captain would not be present, I set to do what I could and have the company keep up with the rest of the army.

Soldiers Present

Sergeant Shiiri
Corporal Nihilia
Recruit Agnius
Recruit Teluum

The Mission:

Our departure was initially halted by a horde offensive on Dun Modr. They were pushed back easily. During a calm moment during this offensive, Mahodiir urgently wished to speak with me and Nihilia, and we headed for a more private location. The results of this discussion shall be posted on the officer board separately. It gave me some additional work which prevented me from preparing the soldiers for departure. Thus I delegated the latter to Nihilia. She agreed to the orders, but did not actually perform them (though apologized later), and once I returned to command, I found the company spread out across the camp and the bulk of the army having already left without so much as informing us. I ordered the company to assemble by the gates, and after being slowed down by Elrua's and an unknown death knight's inquiries, we set out, hoping to find the others. Lavian, being ailed by unknown causes, was left behind, with Elrua and Mahodiir insisting to guard her.

During the travel, we stuck to the roads, and eventually we did find a group of elves and dwarves in the wetlands. When asked, they too were uncertain about the whereabouts of the rest of the army. We proceeded and some, mainly the regiment from Stormwind, did catch up fairly soon. Parts of the army, such as these disciples of light, were nowhere to be seen. The rest of the journey went largely without incident, and we made our way to the aerie peak with no casualties.

Mission Conclusion:

In my eyes, the Alliance army demonstrates a total lack of communication and of any resemblance of proper leadership, the latter also shown at the recent battles in Arathi, such as when the dwarven 'khazreg' leading the operation gave no orders whatsoever, and instead the orders seemed to be coming from a large number of people, some of them low ranked even.
That said, the mission was in the end a success, and the present soldiers safely reached Aerie Peak and are ready for more battle.

Morale Officer

The Company participated in the battle for Alterac Valley and the Frostwolf Lands. Alliance forces however lost the battle, and thus marking a third major loss for the Alliance in the Lordaeron front.

With Tol Barad, Stromgarde and Alterac Valley lost to the Horde, The Company returned to Stormwind, where the soldiers separated their ways, each gone to rest and recover from strain of the battles from both of the Outland expedition and the Forsaken Offensive.
