Training Session - Protect the Target!

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Lo0JOzn

The Briefing:

The theme of the training session was "protect the target". Two teams and a captain to each were selected, and ordered to select a house in their respected farm as their base, where the Captain was to remain while giving out orders to his field commanders. The goal was to locate and capture the opposing team captain. First one to succeed would be deem the winner. Weapons, Armor or Magic were not allowed. Only things found in the forest and environment as weapons.

Teams

Deadly Swans
Archmage Arenfel Serentyne (Team Captain)
Recruit Alvine Camlet
Recruit Yseysa Thunderthorn
Sergeant Zelium Bloodfury (1st Regiment)
Several other soldiers of the 1st Regiment

Justice Corps
Corporal Timothy "Justice" Deneton (Team Captain)
Corporal Hugir Strongbrew (Field Commander)
Recruit Ladeon
Recruit Lightspire*
Recruit Lelara Frosthoof
Several other soldiers of the 1st Regiment

Justice Corps Report

By: Corporal Hugir Strongbrew

Once our team and team name was created after some discussing, we set out to the other farm.
Our Captain named me (Hugir) Field Commander, while he himself with three guards would take position in the biggest barn on the farm, so he could climb to the second level there and shower any unwanted visitors with boxes. Besides that I didn't receive a single order or tactic to maintain, and was supposed to figure it out.
I ordered everybody to pick up a weapon, and send out a scout to their location. Sadly I was the only one that could 'handle' a boar, and sadly the only one that even tried as well. With our scout, Recruit Lightspire scouting their position, we meanwhile hid in the trees and in bushes awaiting her return. Capturing and detaining a hostile scout in the progress.
Seeing that after a while of waiting we still didn't receive any word from our scout, I presumed she was captured. And I very slowly moved to advance with my squad, hoping to use the trees as cover. We didn't come far, as in the distance I saw hostile scouts slipping in between the trees, and our own scout returned. Reporting that the Deadly Swans were on the defensive, and keeping in mind that their scouts had already spotted us, I halted the advance and went into the defense, hoping to draw them out. Assuming our team possessed more patience.

After returning to our base, I informed our Team Captain of my plan to use another house as decoy while he and his three guards would remain hidden in their easily defendable barn. He agreed and ordered me to continue with the plan. So. I had three soldiers quite openly stationed at the other house, while two others, my boar and I were hiding, awaiting to trap the enemy forces as they hopefully charged the wrong house, yet even if they attacked the correct one, they would be trapped.
The plan partly succeeded, the enemy force approached on the wrong house yet they spotted two of my soldiers in hiding. We proceeded to trap the hostile soldiers in between the troop stationed at the decoy house, and the supposed ambush forces. It was a success, as the hostile troops were heavily outnumbered and surrounded. They received more reinforcements, yet we still managed to handle ourselves and were winning, with some of their soldiers already defeated.

The skirmish at the decoy house continued, with more enemy forces approaching. We would have won there wasn't it for Lieutenant Iriel to cheat... Saying she yields and dropping her 'weapon'. To then upon seeing more reinforcements approach deny this fact and continue the fight. While we were stilling about to win this skirmish and with that likely the game, it went down hill. As our Captain called all troops back as he was under attack by three hostile (he himself being with four). One or two friendly soldiers and myself were unable to eventually overwhelmed despite our calls for aid, my last calls eventually turning into them needing to attack their now vunerable Captain as my small squad was keeping their main bulk busy. That was the moment I got personally got overwhelmed. And while I was already out of the game, our Recruit Azurr proceeded to.. Well, the incident. I awoke when the game had ended in a stalemate.

Officer note(s):

- Recruit Ladeon proves to be quite the arrogant Elf, even for her kin. And I fear will soon need some serious disciplinary drilling.
- Recruit Azurr has shown unhonorable, cheap and outright cruel methods even when they were not required, as her target was already incapable of doing anything anymore.. I'll reward her with one admonitation for that.

Light bless,
Corporal Hugir Strongbrew

Deadly Swans Report

By: Sergeant Zelium Bloodfury (1st Regiment)

The plan was to wait them to attack, but as time moved and both teams held their ground, we tried to provoke them out so some people could sneak in and attack. But in the moment communications were lost and the plan flew threw, it became "improvising movement". We made use of Melons and melon juice in our defense and offensive.
Officer note(s):

  • Both sides show creativity in their tactics and methods, despite being forbid use magic or mundane weaponry.
  • The game had to be ended early, because of a serious head-injury on one 1st Regiment soldier.
  • The training as a whole was a success, but the soldiers need not to take winning and losing as seriously that to go actually harm eachother as bad.

Training Session - Defend/Assault the Hill!

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Wowscr10

Date: 6/11/30 sdp

The Briefing:

Training held together with Stormwind First Regiment. Combined forces of the two units were spit into 3. Two would be attacking while one. Weapons available were wooden, including soft arrows. Teams also had wood, rope and nails to make use while preparing the defenses of the hill.

Soldiers Present

Captain Inran of Kor'khat
Corporal Hugir Strongbrew
Corporal Shiiri
Lance-Corporal Lavian Dawson
Private Nihilia
Recruit Ashil Verin
Recruit Ryla Lightspire*
Recruit Shilla
Recruit Yseya Thunderthorn

The Mission:

Capture the Hill

Corporal: Hugir Strongbrew

The Mission:

Once the teams were created, our team was assigned to defend the hill. Ordered to repel the invaders by clever tactics and defenses, as the attacker heavily outnumbered us. Without any real leader being chosen, everybody sort of loosely went to build defenses. Shiiri had created a sort of grafity wall at the front with magic, and after the training I found out on a not so pleasant way that she also had done so at one of the flanks. The others had build a few barricades, while I relocated a huge rock to the front as well to use as very hard to-scale barricade with the use of explosives.

The enemy launched attacks at the two flanks, and the front. And with the lack of true coardination from a leader during the preparation phase, it was quite clear our defenses could have been placed -way- better. They still managed to slow the enemy down, allowing us to do some damage to them as well. Yet far from as effective as it could have been. The defending team ended up simply being overrun by the enemy their numbers and magic abilities.

My conclusion is that simply with a leader elected from the start like last training, and which I assume the attacking team did have, seeing their well planned attack. We could have put up a way more valiant and effective defense.

Defend the hill: Report regarding the attack wave of the second round
After the first wave, we returned to the starting point, by the fence. Technically for discuss the tactics of our attack. Instead, we were distracted, out of focus. only began to actually plan at the last minute. I had foreseen that the most of their defenses would be at front, so we should've attacked all from the flank but everyone else still agreed to attack the main road with just a tiny force on the flank.

Once there, we indeed met an heavly defended main gate, made out of thick barricades and impairing mud that allowed the enemy to just watch at us struggling while they ordered a major attack in all ease. The enemy however, shouted the orders out of loud, allowing us to easily avoid a major counter done with a boulder.

After this however, we were ambushed from the top with glue bombs that immobilized us into the ground. Unable to move, we were easily wiped out. A woman risked to choke to death due having ingested the glue. I personally was successfully rescued by the use of a solvent that eliminated the substance.

After that i'm afraid i can give little detail. People were preparing to attack again but the teams instead began to argue. At some point i was unsure if the game were still going at all, until they attacked again. We managed to avoid most of the attacks but many of our team were not there with us to aid. Outnumbered and out of time, we agreed on a tactical surrender.

While fun by itself, the game to me felt just like that, a game. Perhaps it was just us soldiers to take it with a too light head, but it felt unrealistic, even for a simulation.

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] J5jtdo10

Date: 11/11/30 sdp

The 157th 'Wild Tempest' Company moved by boat from Stormwind to Surwich, wherefrom we continue by land following the roads to and through the Dark Portal. On the other side, we lend our aid briefly to the defenders of the portal, while Archmage Serentyne set up a portal anchor for easy transport of supplies and mounts to Honor Hold.

The Company is now stationed in Honor Hold. Orders are not to go wander off into the wilds alone, due of it being a very hostile land. No guard shifts are required, but soldiers are told to keep weapons at hand and watchful for Infernal Rain sometimes launch on the base.

Camp Additions:

  • Supplies and Mounts brought by the 157th Company, crates piled up and the mounts at the stables.
  • Several Gyrocopters being built from parts brought in the crates.

Dear Inran,

Last night the First Regiment and a handfull Disciples tried to barricade the entrance of Duskwood from the Blood Wolf Clan and their warpath. Unfortunately it failed and the Blood Wolf Clan made their way through Duskwood to Deadwind Pass. My people is on them and will continue to inform me of their moments. We do, however, have our beliefs that they are heading for the Dark Portal and Outland. As you and your company are stationed in Outlands at the moments I think its suitable for you to be on the lookout for the Blood Wolf Clan. Make sure that you are prepared to engage them if possible. If spotted and located any and all information should be sent to me. I hope you realize te importance of their annihilation for the sake of peace between the Alliance and the Horde. Grim Stonepaw and his comrades need to be captured/slaughtered, at any prize.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

WEDNESDAY November 13th. [30] sdp

Spymaster Spoon,

Acknowledge. 157th 'Wild Tempest' Company is at the moment temporarily stationed at Honor Hold, Hellfire Peninsula. I will dispatch the scouts and prepare the Company to intercept. How are the two Horde forts considered as, should the Blood Wolf Clan take shelter in one such? Wild Tempest brought no siege-vehicles with them expect several Gyrocopters, so we are not in good odds to assault a well-defended fort, not to even mention that attacking one would likely upset the peace. Unless new instructions are given, Blood Wolf Clan is relentlessly hunt down by the 157th everywhere expect on ground of Thrallmar and Falcon Watch.

Their warmongering ways shall be their end in this barren waste of red rock.

Hellfire Peninsula: Against the Man'ari

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] 2013-11-14-021612_1366x768_scrot

Date: 13/11/30 sdp

Sergeant Shiiri

The Briefing:

Today, I received a scouting report of a demonic force in the Pools of Aggonar. They were seen to be channeling magic of some kind with an unknown demonic artifact. The purpose of the ritual was presumed to be opening portals for Legion reinforcements to pour through. Unwilling to let that happen, I set to assembling the company for an assault mission against the demons.

157th Company

Sergeant Elegost Dawnweaver
Sergeant Shiiri
Corporal Nihilia
Lance-Corporal Paia Cuddlefork
Mercenary Tanya Rein
Recruit Elrua
Recruit Mahodiir
Recruit Yavari

The Mission:

Main Objectives:

  • Defeat the Burning Legion forces"Achieved"
  • Prevent the Legion from finishing their ritual"Achieved"
  • Recover or destroy the demonic artifact in the Legion's posession"Failed"

Having done a quick briefing, I rode the company out to the Pools of Aggonar swiftly. The journey itself was uneventful, but at the pools, we immediately encountered a patrol of several felhunters led by a doomguard. We charged into battle. Initially, my magic was subverted by the felhunters and I was of little assistance, but they fell to the Company's righteous fury nevertheless. Two succubi joined the battle against us, managing to mind control sergeant Elegost for a time. Still, they too were defeated with minor wounds. After first aid, we proceeded deeper into the area, with sergeant Elegost leading the frontliners as requested by myself. At this point we started to be afflicted by voices within our heads and illusions, which appeared to be attempts to weaken our morale by the leader of the demons, whom I correctly deduced to be one of the man'ari. Nonetheless, I urged us to press on.

Soon afterwards, we were ambushed by several satyrs with the assistance of fel magic. They caught us completely off guard, which led to us suffering some wounds, but we quickly regained control of the battle and dispatched the satyrs. After further first aid, we proceeded. The pools the place was named after were a slight obstacle; they contained an unknown green liquid we deemed best to avoid. I conjured a bridge so that we could pass, which worked as expected. However, several of us proved rather reckless in my eyes and attempted to jump across the liquid, luckily successfully.

At any rate, we proceeded toward what appeared like a great demonic altar. On the altar we spotted the man'ari performing his ritual. His guards, consisting of one shivarra and several felguards moved to
intercept us, but they were swiftly dispatched and we marched to the altar, where the demonic artifact, a skull of some kind, was also present. It was clear that the man'ari had nearly finished his ritual,
and we charged to battle for one last time.

As his last line of defense there was a large number of imps, and the company's attention was divided between then and the man'ari, myself focused on the man'ari. I begun to prepare one of the greater spells in my repertoire, fully aware that it would completely drain me from mana. Knowing that the man'ari had to be stopped at all costs, I chose to trust my fellow officers to take over command should it be necessary. While I continued casting the spell, the company held the line, slaying the imps and causing some wounds upon the man'ari. An unknown demon or perhaps warlock also joined the battle seemingly against the man'ari, further adding into the chaos. The company soldiers meanwhile were taking heavy damage; it was clear that the company's whole offensive would soon collapse and leave us defeated. But they held the line long enough for me to finish my spell; I called a great meteor infused with the powers of the Light and the arcane forth from the heavens, which struck the man'ari and completely annihilated him. The shockwave caused some minor harm to the company; I shouted for the soldiers to get back from the man'ari, which saved them from most of the blast.

Afterwards, the unknown demon wished to negotiate, giving us two options; either to permit her to have the artifact and be left in peace or try to attack her. Not willing to let a demon have such a powerful artifact, I attempted to destroy it with a final spellcast, but due to my exhaustion I could not manage a proper spell. Even so, the demon appeared irritated, and unleashed a swarm of fel insects upon us before presenting the choices again. At this point, I told her we were here to wrest the artifact from the Legion's hands, to which she replied that her goal was the same. Apparently she stood against the Legion. Soon afterwards, we heard many approaching footsteps, feared to be demons. I told the demon I spoke with that if she was truly against the Legion, then she would battle them. To my surprise, she agreed, and went to battle. At this point, what remained of my strength faltered and I fell unconscious. Thus I shall ask corporal Nihilia to give a report for what happened afterwards.

Officer note(s):

- Recruit Yavari did not do any combat. She told me she is a non-combatant; she should not have come with us, and I made her aware of this. I was not aware of her non-combat status in the beginning, though I assumed it was clear combt was to be expected.

This document completes Sergeant Shiiri report regarding a mission occurred on draenor on the above date. Please refer to her document for a complete understanding of the work you're reading.

After Shiiri had fainted, i observed the sorceress literally flying towards the demonic horde, into battle. With both sergeants knocked unconscious, i took over the mission and commanded an immediate retreat, due very serious injuries on our dying soldiers that could not be ignored. I judged that the lives of our soldiers was more valuable than a demonic artifact. The wounded, however, took some time to move, while the demons kept fighting, but at some point we did began to move.

I took shiiri on my arms, the other wounded on the care of Mahoddir and Erlua. I ran to my escape, only to notice the soldiers were not following me. I ran back and noticed they were distracted by an event that seemingly squashed the demons under rocks and other rabble, along with the sorceress, which turned her attention on us once again.

The demoness once again addressed Shiiri about letting her take the artifact. However, i had to point out that not only Shiiri was in no condition to answer, but that i was the one to take over such request, begin the highest rank with vigilant eyes.

She then asked me that question, once again, surprisingly patient. I had a look on Shiiri, drained and defenseless; Elegost, burned and bleeding; Tanya, dying on bleeding and internal wounds and the exhaust soldiers that even broke equipment on the mission.

During this pondering of mine, however, Mahodiir stepped further on his own initiative, attempting to trade with the demon: The artifact in exchange of a portal to safety on honor hold. I pointed out that not only we do not bargain with demons, but that it could be a trap. He dismissed the danger by offering himself volunteer to at least keep the demons at bay may more be coming. The demoness however, refused, saying we were in no condition to impose any terms.

And she was right.

I judged that we could not waste more time on chatting, which Mahodiir himself pointed out as Tanya were dying in his arms. I felt forced, to allow the sorceress claim the artifact, while we ran to a swift retreat i had ordered. It took a while, but at the end, we arrived to our horses.

There i noticed a dwarf with the honor hold tabard. Apparently he were escaping the demons himself, and i then asked him to jump on Mahodiir horse for follow in our escape.

After we arrived, i ordered to immediately bring the wounded in, having them checked upon. This eventually led to a medical report that i shall deliver on the commander once it's complete.

After my wounds were closed, i had proceeded to recruit a gnome called Udine, which file shall soon sent to the files. The dwarf however, while willingly to join, had to leave. His recruitment shall be sorted either tomorrow or within a week at max.

The dwarf name was Bolur Strongbrew

Officer note(s):

*Recruit Mahodiir is a skilled and excellent medic that should be officially assigned as such. Currently he volunteers for the wounded in his spare time. His sister Erlua seems to share such skills, but claims to wish to stay on the battlefield.

Hellfire Penisula: Attack on Honor Hold

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Wowscr16

Date: 14/11/30 sdp

The Briefing:

Toonkz Felcog attacked the keep, all soldiers to be reuinited at the keep

Soldiers Present

Sergeant Shiiri
Sergeant Elegost
Lance-Corporal Coppersocket
Private Arasali
Recruit Mahodiir
Recruit Erlua
Recruit Yavari
Recruit Udine
Bolur Strongbrew (External to company)
Flicky Irondust (External to company)

The Mission:

Toonkz Felcog first approached by taunting us from the distance. I went to find Elegost with Shiiri on my side, only to agree that the soldiers had to be reunited.

After that was done, we were ordered to find the sorcerer, who in the meantime kept taunting us. Eventually Flicky Irondust located him at the back of the keep, in which we ran only to find a portal about to close.

After another search we found him at the roof, keeping on teleporting apparently without draining his mana all that much. I kept him talking, until coppersocket (aboard of the sky golem) and the other soldiers cornered him until he was forced to jump down. Coppersocket, Elegost and Bolur, chased him aboard of gryphons and golem. The others and i ran below, arriving shortly after.

I asked toonkz to surrender to the light and the company, but he resufed, threatening to harm us. The golem, already showing signs of instability, hit Toonkz and his demon until it eventually exploded on Elegost who had succesfully saved copper from certain death. We were tasked to find Toonkz corspe.

I ran into the desert with an handful of soldiers, only to find Toonkz still alive and well. We tryed to corner him but he had managed to hostage Mahodiir. His demands were to talk with me, in private. I asked the soldiers to back off in order to me to buy time for a counter attack, but Private Arasali refused my order, and attacked Toonkz causing him to shoot at Mahodiir, wounding him. I had to ask Erlua to protect him meaning we had two less soldiers to attack with

I ordered those capable to attack Toonkz, but he was too fast for us. Assuming the form of a winged demon, he made his way for the sky, out of our reach.

Upon returning to Honor Hold, we found ANOTHER warlock causing distress to the soldiers. She seemed to have cauterized his wounds with fel, which is an extremeley dangerous practice and likely it will cause Elegost to be vulnerable to demonic possession for the weeks to come. After a short battle with her, i accepted to take Elegost back to safety, while i could not prevent her from flying away herself.

The wounded got treated, but the distress of the events still lurks in the ranks.

Mission Conclusion:

*Private Arasali had showed a great arrogance at disobaying me, putting our lives at risk for her lack of discipline. Consulence with the morale officer is required.

*We have a demon problem. A huge one. It's about time we sort this thing out or Toonkz and the other female sorceress will keep ruining our attempts to fight the legion and our enemies.

Very few of us had any idea how it works, expect that it involves Phasing objects to this plane of reality and outside of it for storage. Will be researched more when get material to research with.

MWS1:
Mechanized Weapon Suit 1 from Mechacorps. They presented the blueprints of a battle-suit prototype able to fly, go underwater and on ground, designed for battle. Empowered with "overheated mana". Still on prototype stage, and power source very unstable. None ordered, but a possibility once development goes further.

The Stormbringer II:
Question was if it is possible to make The Stormbringer II to fly. Options available were propellors and rocket engines, or the zeppelin approach. Both are considered and weighted, and may be requested Mechacorp to build such a system for The Stormbringer while the Company remain in outland, but decision to be made which is first to be done

Other question was about ship weaponry, but Mechacorp had nothing useful to offer in that regard.

Grenades and Guns:
From Mechacorps stock were ordered several different type of Grenades to be used. Will be included in Armory soon to be available for toops. Also discussion was about sniper and riffle ammunition, and special sorts of such ammo were ordered, along with a 50'caliber riffle and ammunition by request of Private Salara* to be used against Tanks or similar heavy armored targets.

Hellfire Penisula - Terokkar Forest: Scouting the roads

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Wowscr15

Date: 17/11/30 sdp

The Briefing:

The mission was to explore the road that introduces to Terokkar Forest and report any danger to command. I informed the soldiers of this and proceeded on. The mission was requested by Sergeant Elegost.

Soldiers Present

Corporal Nihilia
Recruit Mahodiir
Recruit Erlua
Recruit Bolur Strongbrew
Recruit Moin Strongbrew
Rinuul (Disciples of Light)
The Mission:

I grouped and briefed the soldiers about the mission, after which we went to the gates, for then head to destination. Upon arriving to the breach that introduces the forest, we noticed that large thorns obscure the flanks, making us vulnerable for ambush. Gladly that didn't happened.

We then made access to the forest. I asked the Strongbrews to use their shamanistic abilities to see further into the land. Nothing to report further to the road that lead to Shattrath.

The Village next to us, however, were completely wiped of it's inhabitants. Strongbrew reported that the villagers have all been killed by some sort of taint. Afraid that such taint could spread to us, i asked to retreat for better discuss the situation to command.

During our way back to Honor Hold, however, we noticed a dimensional rift into the void. The isntability kept to summon unbound voidwalkers, had we not acted, by the time of our actual travel there could have been hundreds of them ready to massacre us.

Upon suggestion of the soldiers, i approved an attack on the rift. We charged it with our powers and successfully managed to close it. The road to Terokkar Forest is now safe. We returned to Honor Hold for the last preparations, awaiting further orders.

Mission Conclusion:

*The road full of thorns has to be walked with extreme caution. Front-liners on the flanks.

*The taint that destroyed the village could spread on us. Had we druids or experts on the matter i would feel more comfortable to deem viable to walk so close to it. Sadly it's right next to where we have to pass.

*There is a small orc camp on the way, but was desert when we walked past it.

*A crashed zapelin on the way, seemingly no crew.

Hellfire Peninsular: Operation: Shattered Extraction

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Hellfi10

Date: 17/11/30 sdp

The Briefing:

A scouting party was sent to find and observe a small detachment of Kor'kron extremists that have been witnessed using the Dark Portal to enter Outland and proceed to the ruins of Hellfire Citadel. This scouting party has not been heard from in over 3 days and so a small unit is to infiltrate the Citadel to discover the fate of the first scouting party.

Soldiers Present

Commander Killian Roque (Si:7 Unit: Gryphons Talon)
Lance-Corporal Mineral Coppersocket
Private Arasali
Private Jenit penfold
Recruit Deevaj of Ar'gokta

The Mission:
After a brief talk with Corporal Nihilia on the missing scouting party, I requested 4 volunteers to assist on the operation. The ride towards the Citadel was a brief and safe passage only taking an hour or so, once arrived at the westerly bridge we made our way across the old stoned bridge to locked entrance, Private Jenit picked the lock and we proceeded on foot once the mounts were secured. Inside we was confronted by a wounded Dwarf know as Gunny, he was being assisted medically by a human known as Chadwick. These 2 would be members of the scouting party and they proceeded to show us maps of the various routes through the Citadels westerly wing. Chadwick stated that the Orcs took 3 others as hostages, a Dwarf called Rifleman Brownbeard and the other 2 humans known as Captain Alina and Private Jacint.

We left Chadwick to tend with Gunny's injuries and headed into the various tunnels and pits, coming across various low level Kor'kron peons that we disposed off rapidly we came to a open room where a plan was formulated efficiently. Private Ara was to used as beautiful bait and lure the filthy Orcs to there doom which was in the form of Lance-Corporal Coppersocket. Again once advancing through various tunnels we came across many Kor'kron training so utilising various crates we sneaked past the majority of them, even Recruit Deevaj masked his hoof clop with scraps of cloth.

They had a working barracks which we proceeded to lay charges around, upon exiting the barracks a single Kor'kron Worgmaster was patrolling with his 2 worgs. The stench of Private Jenit alerted them and we were once again attacking the Worgmaster and his attacking Worgs. Once that was delt with we proceded to a small entrance hall that housed a huge door that both Coppersocket and Jenit began to prize open. Once opened we witnessed a Dark Shaman whom seem to be performing a ritual on 4 peons. The peons soon dropped to their knees as the life force just seemed to leave them. It was only by chance that the Dark Shaman spotted us and again proceeded to attack us using various knockbacks of wind and water. It was with the combined might of coppersocket and myself that this Dark Shaman fell to his death.

Again we proceeded through the tunnels only to be hit by mortar fire and scolding arrows, it was here where i was wounded badly by a lucky shot, it was whilst Deevaj, Jenit and Coppersocket were fighting forward avoiding the mortar and arrows that Ara tended to my wound with a field dressing and cauterizing the wound closed. I only heard what was relayed next as the 4 Wild Tempest soldiers attacked a huge Kor'kron creature and kicked his ass back to Orgrimmar by tripping him up! during the fight this Kor'kron flung his axe to the ceiling which slolwy ruptured the integrity of the various halls and tunnels. After a regroup we quickly ventured to what we recognised as plea's of help from the hostages to a massive room filled with all manner of Kor'kron weaponry, machinations and scrolls.

We noted that the Kor'kron Commander utilised a gauntlet blade that seemed to be of a primitive nature. It was here that when Lance-Corporal Coppersocket engaged the Commander i flanked past to the 3 hostages and proceeded to pick their shackles.
The 4 Wild Tempest soldiers fought brave and hard, blood was running thick that day as the Commander took a killing blow from Private Ara which sent him to the floor hard. Once released we made haste to the extraction with the hostages as all the halls seem to be shattering above our heads, We found Chadwick and he stated that he could'nt save Gunny. We returned to Honor Hold with the scouting party.

Mission Conclusion:
Witnessing team cohesion is a rareity i do not often outside of the firm, the various Kor'kron siege weaponry and other artifacts within the Halls raised a few alarms into how they got them here without raising more suspicion. Increased scouting will be needed as since the Siege of Orgrimmar, Kor'kron activity has increased all across Azeroth..and now Outland.

The 157th 'Wild Tempest' Company moved by steeds into the Terokkar Forest trough the path previously scouted by the soldiers. A short deviation was forced by a powerful taint haunting the nearby lands.

After having dealt with an Arakkoa ambush on the way, we finally arrived at Allerian Stronghold. orders are to not leave the camp without permission and to aid in the re-construction of the fallen buildings while waiting orders.

Camp Additions:

  • Wards against Scrying have been placed all over the stronghold for prevent any intrusion from invisible threats, while also dispelling other kind of illusions.
  • The local inn have been improvised as the new infirmary.

Meanwhile, in Eastern Kingdoms, Azeroth...
Quote :
To: Spymaster Helmut Spoon. From: Captain Inran of Kor'khat, Commander of 157th Wild Tempest Company.
Blasted Lands, Kalimdor
TUESDAY November 19th. [30] sdp

Spymaster Helmut Spoon,

Soldiers of 157th 'Wild Tempest' Company left stationed on Azeroth have engaged in a skirmish with Blood Wolf Clan by entrance of Blasted Lands. While majority of the Company is beyond the Dark Portal, i have ordered the soldiers left back on Azeroth aboard 'The Stormbringer II' to keep track on the Clan movements and assault whenever opportunity. By the evening in the 19th day of November, A squad was sent to lay ambush by the narrow path leading from Swamp of Sorrows to Blasted Lands, led by Sergeant Highridge. Of the 9 soldiers sent, only Sharpshooter Tinkerbolt returned to give report of a well-laid ambush that ended up in fiasco.

The Blood Wolf Clan, according to her report, had walked right the path into Blasted Lands when she aimed a shot to the large orc presumed to be the chieftain. Her shot missed narrowly, hit the chieftains worg instead. She had to make a hasty retreat deeper into the swamps to avoid being spotted and found. To her satisfaction, she soon heard the echo of explosions sound soon in the air; The Clan having hit the tripwire to set off the explosives hid by the path. Proceeding further the pre-planned route up the mountains, to get to a position for another shot. She could hear the sounds of a modified Sky Golem, one of the models acquired during the Siege of Orgrimmar attack the orcs, piloted by her brother in battle against the Orcs. The Golem fell in battle just when she got over the ridge to see. Shocked by the death of her brother, she regardless took another aim at the Chieftain only to have her riffle malfunction. While she was trying to fix it, Sergeant Farstrand lead his assault against the Blood Wolf Clan who were battered by the golem and the trap already, perhaps to straight. His entire squad was slaughtered by the Blood Wolves while Tinkerbolt was still desperately trying to get her riffle to work, no avail. The savages even nailed and hung the Alliance corpses around the entrance to Blasted Lands while she remain in hiding, trying to not be spotted. The Clan then proceed to Dreadmaul Hold in north-west corner of the Blasted Lands.

Attached Map of Blasted Lands:
I have ordered Soldiers to avoid direct engagement after the one-sided slaughter of the infantry troops, make use of long-raged bombardment using Mortar Teams, The Stormbringer II cannons (if in range) and a Steam Tank loaned from Nethergarde Keep, preferably from high ground with Infantry barricading and defending the locations of firing. Mines and Traps will likely be to difficult to place un-noticed in the open ground. Gyrocopters are going through maintenance to provide resistance against the lighting in the surroundings of The Dark Portal, and will not be employed before the maintenance is finished.

I will do my best to ensure The Blood Wolf Clan annihilation. Unless you have anything else for me, i do have a request for you: To send a group through the Swamp of Sorrows to remove the corpses of our fallen comrades by the border of The Blasted Lands. It is not a sight i wish my own soldiers to see themselves, the faces of their fallen comrades. They will need every ounce of their courage for the confrontations yet to come.

Terokkar Forest: Liberating Ethereal technology

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] 5LQbF6B

Date: 21/11/30 sdp

The Briefing:

Today, Sergeant Shiiri assembled the Wild Tempest to strike against an Ethereal force that had taken over an arakkoa camp to the south to capture Ethereal technology from them, as was one of the Company's goals in Draenor. I did not pay close attention to the briefing due to not being part of the strike team or even fit for combat due to wounds, but after they had discussed strategy for what seemed for quite a long time, they headed for the Arakkoa camp and I saw them no more. I am writing this report since they all failed to return.

Soldiers Present
Sergeant Shiiri
Corporal Nihilia
Private Arasali
Private Salara
Private Zibble Fiddlecog
Recruit Devaaj
The Mission:

Due to not being present during the mission, I do not know anything of what happened during it.

Mission Conclusion:

The entire strike team failed to return from their mission. No communication has been had from them, and they can all be considered missing in action for now.

Terokkar Forest: Five Day Fiasco

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Vdikfw10

Date: 21-25/11/30 sdp

Report of Company activities in the past five days by Private Mahodiir and Sergeant Shiiri, written up word-to-word by Bellie Brightbolt, Scribe.

Sergeant Shiiri:
I led an attack on the ethereal to the south who had taken over an arakkoa town, with the purpose of recovering their technology. We indeed recovered some technology, but we were noticed and under attack by ethereal spellcasters, though we had some cover. We also had dealt with melee oriented ethereals in the camp. I decided that the stash we found had to be sufficient, and ordered the company to pack the technology. And we would retreat after that. Meanwhile, I could sense their spellcasters were preparing a grander spell of some sort. Determined to slow them down, I assaulted the treetops they were gathering on with magic, buying us some time, but not enough. They opened a series of portals across the area, sucking everything around them to them. Zibble was unfortunate and immediately sucked into one. Arasali and Salara rushed into the portal out of their own accord without asking for permission or anything of the sort. The rest of us, me, Nihilia, and Devaaj, retreated as I had planned. During the retreat, we passed more portals, and were all taken by them.

Private Mahodiir:
We recieved a report that the scouting party lead by sergeant shiiri failed to report back, the human sergeant organised a search and rescue team to head to the last known location of sergeant shiiri.

Our search lead to a small encampment of Arakkoa, we fought our way through the camp, and managed to bring down their commander. In his tent, we found several old texts, directing us to Auchidoun. We headed their quickly due to the seriousness of the task, upon arrival we found what we assumed was sergeant shiiri's teams emcampment. Upon looking around we found footsteps and hoof-prints. As we entered the ruins, we found the sergeants team, except the sergeant was not present, nor was the gnome private, zibble. We were still missing Ara, at that point.

After treating them for what looked like shock, we encountered an enraged spirt, using some kind of shadow magic i believe. It took quite some time however the spirit was banished. We carried the wounded and shaken-up team back to this base to provide treatment and to basically find out what had happened. It is then we learned what had happened to the sergeant and both privates.

Sergeant Shiiri:
After passing through the portal, I ended up on top of a mountain peak at the mountains to the east. There I sat for perhaps an hour or so, pondering what to do. My staff fell down the mountain when I arrived, and I could not use its powers to get me down. Then the portal opened again, and Zibble fell on top of me - seemingly the portal had taken him a little bit into the future. The fall caused both me and Zibble to fall down the peak, to a river below. We were both extremely fortunate to be unwounded. The river brought us to a waterfall; fortunately, there were large rocks on top of it which stopped us, and we climbed them as we pondered our next move. We could not swim the river upstream, due to the great speed of the water. The cliffs around us seemed near impossible to climb, and jumping down a waterfall seemed extremely risky. Fortunately, Zibble had an experimental D.A.M.N.I.T. survival kit with him, containing food among other things. Out of his equipment, he was quick to fashion impressive climbing equipment, and with great effort we managed to climb up the cliffs. We set up a makeshift camp on a plateau overlooking Shadowmoon valley, though it took me some time to acknowledge that was what had become of Shadowmoon.
We spent perhaps a day and a half there.

We discussed our options, and Zibble knew there was a dwarven fortress in Shadowmoon, at least the last time he had been there. We decided to see if we could make our way to safety there and return here from there. So we continued climbing the mountains, deeming it too dangerous to descend, for there was an active burning legion fortress close by. We encountered a cave on our way; there were two hungry ogres within. We hid from them, but they could smell us, and it came to blows. Both of the ogres fell in the end, with us in good enough shape to continue.

We continued on our way. Eventually, we reached a good vantage point from where we could clearly see the dwarven fortress. Its walls were battered, but it still stood. And we continued our way towards it. Eventually, it was time to descend the mountains overlooking some ruins of our people, with the fortress just beyond. In those ruins, all was quiet, until a shadowy portal materialized in front of us. We quickly seeked cover, and soon a man'ari eredar emerged from the portal. He was yelling, calling for what seemed to be me to join him. Apparently, the man'ari we slew in Hellfire Peninsula earlier had been a close ally of his, and he had been vastly impressed with the spell I casted to destroy him during the battle. And he wanted me to take his ally's place. This was followed by two draenei vindicators, one male, one female, neither of whom I recognized, also emerging from the still open portal. They immediately started to do battle against the man'ari, seemingly aware of his plans and determined to ruin them. But a shivarra also came from the portal to reinforce him, and she proved a worthy adversary for the vindicators; they could not spare an instant to assault the man'ari anymore, while he binded me with a shadow spell of some kind, incapacitating me. He began pulling me to him with this spell, and Zibble - he actually managed to dispel it. The eredar was mildly impressed, and decided to take Zibble as well. He then cast the spell on both of us, drawing us to him. As a last resort, Zibble attempted a 'ping device', as he called it, though it did not help. He also resorted to a volley of insults against the man'ari, which amused him. The vindicators around this time managed to defeat the shivarra and turned their attention on the man'ari, but he cast a shadow wave spell on them, knocking them back. The eredar then grabbed us and went into his portal, it closing behind him.

I am unsure of the exact location we were taken; an underground demonic base of some kind. They took Zibble somewhere, I do not know what they intented to do with him. For me, the man'ari prepared a transformation ritual of some kind, seeking to remake me into his vision. It mainly consisted of four felhunters draining me with their tentacles as an orcish warlock was performing the actual ritual under the man'ari's supervision and guidance. I resisted as long as I could, until I was saved by the company.

Private Mahodiir:
The next day, the human sergeant informed us that he had a rough location of sergeant shiiri, so we rounded up a rescue team once more and proceeded to the location mentioned. As we arrived we had to scale numerous clifs and cross demon territory, as we approached the end of the mountains, we came across an anchient ruin, with two vindicators outside. They proceeded to tell us about the sergeant and the gnome, and how they were seen being taken into a cave, so, naturally under the sergeants orders, we marched into this cave to find sergeant shiiri suspended above a pool of fel. The two vindicators began to attack what they claimed to be their son, while myself and the others fought to take back the sergeant. Thankfully we were successful, however many were injured as a result, as Corporal Nihilia.

Upon rescue, we managed to find the gnome private, and carry both him, and the sergeant back to a dwarven fortress. As we arrived, we tried to treat the corporal and sergeant, but it was decided that it was best to head back here to provide a safer area. As we arrived, both the sergeant and corporal were placed in the Inn turned an Infirmary, to be treated for their wounds.

Captain's Notes

  • The team going for Ethereal technology managed to salvage some equipment despite the mission not going as planned, which Killian Roque, SI:7, have been tinkering with.

  • Private Salara knowingly risked her life in order to save her team members. She earned herself a promotion out from Last Chance program and to a Lance Corporal as result.

  • Sergeant Shiiri reports the ritual of the Man'ari having some effects on her: Inability to call forth the Arcane and the whispers of the Light sound distant. She is concerned what is to happen to her, and fears that she'd turn into a Krokul. So far, no such physical changes to that direction have been sighted.

  • Despite all, the soldiers performed well in exceptional circumstances. I am satisfied with their ability for teamwork and work together in desperate situations.

Shadowmoon Valley: Saving Private Ara

The Outland Expedition [Outland, Patch 5.4] Wowscr11

Date: 26/11/30 sdp

The Briefing:

Our scouts had got information about the last missing team member, Private Arasali whereabouts. A team was assembled for search and rescue into the corrupted waste of Shadowmoon Valley.

Soldiers Present

Captain Inran of Kor'khat
Sergeant Elegost Dawnweaver
Lance-Corporal Kwu
Lance-Corporal Salara
Private Elrua
Private Mahodiir
Private Liam Samuels
Recruit Ruby Darkheart
Fowlgore (Worgen Adventurer)
The Mission:

The Team gathered by Allerian Stronghold and set run towards Shadowmoon Valley by foot, led by Captain Inran. Upon encounter a damaged bridge going over the river, the soldiers were ordered to cross one-by-one. Everyone made it to the other side expect Sergeant Dawnweaver, who fell through and was attacked by a Basilisk lurking in the waters below. The soldiers ran for a rescue and the beast was slain. Fortunate for everyone, the water was not very deep and the Basilisk had not manage to bite through the Sergeant armor.

The group pressed on in a formation; plate on the flanks, rangers in the center. Entrance to the Shadowmooon Valley was uneventful, expect for the normal natural occurrences in the zone, as falling meteors in the distance. I sent Lance-Corporal Salara to scout the path ahead to where the earlier traces had led. Meanwhile, the main group moved by the roads pass pools of lava. The group encountered earthquakes and the lava pools showed signs of Instability, enough to scare off the local beasts.

By our travels, we spotted Wildhammers flying in combat formations, and shouting coming from the Shadowmoon Village direction, presuming yet another battle raging. During those observation and considering next act of movement, a Chimera caught attention to the group and attacked, breathing fire. The company suffered minor burn-wounds, but managed to bring the flying beast down and slay it.

Continue northwards towards the last reported location or trace of Private Arasali, the Company encounter a broken steam tank in flames with shouting coming from within. Darkheart put out the flames and two soldiers dragged the wounded dwarf away. he had no legs and he was bleeding a lot, so our medic, Mahodiir caultarized the wound with the use of his sisters shield and Darkhearts magic in heating it up. We took the wounded dwarf to Wildhammer Stronghold and left, now with Private Liam Samuels with, having to come reinforce us. We continue the road up north until we encounter Salara, who had found a bloodied tabard of Arasali, clearly hers because Alliance colors and blue blood. Private Samuels and Salara set into tracking, following the nose of Samuels as a Worgen. We ended up on a ridge and saw Private Arasali in the distance, wounded, lying in midst a rock formation. While searching for a path down, we decided to check a tower nearby. It apparently had people within it, and we were attacked by several Orcs from within. The orcs were quickly slain with no injuries and from within the tower we recovered some maps. I will send them to Wildhammer Stronghold, perhaps they can make use of them.

Meanwhile, our scouts; Salara, Liam and Fowlgore had found a path to Private Arasali. Fowlgore came to lead us the path there. We encountered no threats on our way down. Down by Arasali location there were rocks from several broken elementals around Arasali, who was badly wounded, unconsious and stuck beneath rocks. We proceed in dig her out while Darkheart open a portal to Shattrath, taking us all to safety, wherefrom we proceed back to Allerian Stronghold.

Mission Conclusion:

Private Arasali was on critical state on recovery, and will not be able to be moved in time of several days.

During the battle against the Chimera, there was a serious lack of ranged equipment to wound and bring it down, and soldiers had to result in throwing rocks and daggers as such. It is recommended to have the Soldiers train with ranged weaponry in the future, to least have something with them against such an opponent.
